TAMIGUCHI

CTF by TAMI hackerspace

THE CHALLENGE IS CURRENTLY UNDER ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT.
Follow us on Mastodon to get updates and be ready when TAMIGUCHI becomes playable!

TAMIGUCHI is an educational Capture-The-Flag challenge for curious minds. It is designed to be approachable, playful, and exploratory — welcoming to newcomers while offering moments of nostalgia for more experienced participants.

Navigation through the CTF is guided by the map included on the last page of the TAMI fanzine. The map is divided into several branches, each representing a separate path filled with riddles. Its illustrations hide valuable hints, reveal dependencies within and across branches, and help to understand your current position in the overall progression.

Completing all riddles within a branch rewards you with a single word — a branch subflag. These subflags are represented on the map by small icons: circle, triangle, heart, star, and plus. Once all subflags are collected, they can be combined to obtain the final flag. The exact method will become clear as you progress.

Unlike many CTFs, TAMIGUCHI doesn't expect you to hack servers, exploit vulnerabilities, or dive into reverse engineering. You will find a mix of tasks: from simple puzzles that can be solved through logic, observation, and creative thinking to challenges requiring familiarity with computers, networking, programming, or information security. We also highly recommend reading the entire fanzine - it's fun on its own, and what if some challenge quietly references its content?)

If you have any questions or get stuck, feel free to email us at info@tamiguchi.wtf. We're happy to help and might even drop a hint.

Once you capture the final flag, let us know - we'd love to celebrate with you and hear how you solved the riddles. If everything checks out, come visit us and claim your TAMI T-shirt as a reward!

Good luck!
